Help with wizard setup.

I just recently upgraded from my old laptop to a "newer" PC that has ryzen 7 5800h with Radeon vega 8. The setup wizard said my new PC is capable of 1080 at 60 FPS. It said the same thing about my laptop but when I used the settings to stream it was really laggy so I lowered it down to 720 at 30 FPS. I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge about the ryzen 7 5800h with the Radeon vega 8 and if it is actually capable of streaming at settings that the setup wizard suggested. Probably, the OBS offered you the AMD HW H.264 hardware encoder. It provides poor picture quality, but minimal impact on FPS in games.

Try x264 on the veryfast or faster preset. If the CPU load is quite high, then disable b-frames by specifying bframes=0 in the advanced settings.

It also depends on where you stream and the type of content. When streaming on twitch, it makes sense to reduce the output resolution and frame rate in order to improve the quality of the picture by saving bitrate.
