I am currently using OBS for the first time in a while and setting it up with my Sony Alpha 7 IV camera connected via HDMI through an Elgato Cam Link to my PC. I have two specific goals I’m trying to accomplish:
Right now, when I bring the camera feed into OBS, I use the transform tab to rotate the image to vertical, but I’m struggling to properly configure the settings so that the image fills the entire vertical screen without cropping or leaving black bars.
What are the best practices for achieving the correct vertical format setup in OBS for these purposes? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
- Set up OBS for the correct vertical recording format to create short-form content for social media.
- Use the camera as a webcam for Loom videos, also in vertical format.
