Hi ;)

Im in need of some help with setting up obs for streaming games on twitch ( not partnered )


What bitrate and encoder etc should i use?

My internet connection is 50/10

Is Hardware (NVENC) a good idea to use?

have tried different guides on youtube etc but yeah just curious what you guys recomend

Have you tried the new auto-configuration wizard in 19.0.2? That'll probably give you a good place to start from.

Yes i have, but still not optimal. and saw it selected x264 instead of NVENC is using that worse then x264?

I think most people use x264 and that is usually a safe bet for my streams.

hmm, yeah becouse i cant seem to get small text etc clear enough, any tips?

I assume you're downscaling? 1080p at 30fps might look better.

1080p 30 fps at what bitrate would you recomend?

Leave it at 4000 and see how it looks. I think with Twitch now you can go up to 6000 if your upstream can handle it, but I'd say try with 4000 at the moment because when trying things out it's best not to change too many things at once.
