I've watched various tutorials and read some sites about setting up OBS for recording but I still can't understand which settings are important for streaming and which for recording.
Also I'm trying to transfer my already existing settings to OBS studio but i can't find similar options

My setup is i7 4770k processor, 32gb of ram and r9 290 graphics card.

The settings I have on OBS classic are:
In encoding:
Use CBR: off
Quality balance: 10
Max bitrate: 1000 (as far as i understand this is connected to streaming and upload speed)
Use custom buffer size: On
Buffer size:0

Format 48khz
bitrate 320

In advanced:
Encoding profile:main
keyfram interval: 2
Use CFR:on
Custom x264 encoder settings:On
crf=20 (sometimes 25, haven't decided yet)

I appreciate any help cause i honestly have no idea if my settings are right or not and can't find how to port them to OBS studio

Use the recording quality presets under Settings > Output when in Simple output mode. In the recording section, change the Recording Quality to Indistinguishable Quality, and then select your encoder. Since you're doing local recording, you can try using Hardware (QSV) for the encoder which should be less impact on your system while recording.

Pretty much any YouTube video that claims "BEST OBS SETTINGS" has no idea what they're doing.
