Help with recording file sizes

hello i am wondering what the best settings would be for lower file sizes ? i have a i5-12400 and a 1660 super and everytime i record it would take around 80 gigs for 5-6 hours of footage and handbrake doesn't do much in compressing it i even have my CQP at level 24 which seems like it should lower the space required by quite abit but it doesn't..
