Hello,

I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post this or not so sorry if it isn't!

I'm looking for ideal streaming settings with my current specs since i'm not too informed regarding this topic. I have watched plenty of videos but it's hard to know if that will fit me if they don't have similar specs.

OS: W10 Home 64 bit
CPU: Intel Core i7 7700K @ 4.20GhHz
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1400MHz
Motherboard: MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON (MS-7A63) (U3E1)
Graphics Card: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

120 Download
20 Upload
Stable connection

I'd also like to mention that I have a Steelseries Arctis 7 Headset because i've been having issue with sound and from what i've read online this headset is a bitch to stream with esp if you use surround (which I do) so if anyone has tips on how to make this sound fine please let me know!

If you need additional information let me know and i'll get back to you ASAP!

Thank you,

with that setup, single pc, just use nvidia encoder to stream with. you figure out what works for your connection/setup by testing it. starting at 6mbit 720p should be a good start.

Do you think my setup can handle 1080p 60 fps? also what kind of Bitrate should I be looking at?

not without being partnered and going above 6mbit and at that setup. 6mbit, 6000 in obs. use default preset, keyframes 2, b-frames 4. dont do 1080p 60 fps, it will look ugly at fast moving scenes.

Oh alright thanks for the tips appreciate it!

What does being partnered have to do with anything? I wasn't aware it changed something regarding connection etc

better encoding options +++, but twitch now gives that more easily if u have viewers. Still 6mbit 720p looks great. u could try 900p even, but prolly wont look so great.

nvidia encoder will happily try and encode 1080p 60fps for you, and sure it'll work. But its going to look like crap in fast moving scenes. However if u only play games like hearthstone or similar that has little movement, etc, it would be fine.
