Hi ,

I'd like to ask if any one can help me out on my obs crashing when I stream
as asked in this original thread: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/high-cpu-usage-on-windows-10.34285/page-4#post-203135
@dping See if you can help me out on this one, cause I really don't know what's the problem here.
Last log file: https://gist.github.com/9fccbd592ab0cc401672
or see attached log file

After upgrading to win 10 every time I try to stream or record with x264 obs says encoder overloading and crashes...
then I tried intel's encoder and it's horrible...

ok so I see all sorts of settings.

first, a mobile i7 cannot stream at 1080@60 slow preset. In fact, I know of 1 server processor that can do that. it is a 10 core 20 thread CPU.

Anyway, lower your settings, downscale to 720@30fps in the video tab of OBS. change the encoder preset to veryfast

remove those custom encoder settings.

last but not least, in the nvidia control panel, set OBS to run in high performance which will use the nvidia GPU instead of the intel iGPU then restart OBS.

Well I did the first two steps...still the same results. So does this mean I can't use x264 encoder with my setup?

No, it means you need to use it correctly thought. finish the last few steps.
