Help With My Setup (OBS, ASIO4ALL, ASIO plugin for OBS-Studio, BEHRINGER UM2)

Hi! I have setup a PC with latest OBS, latest ASIO4ALL, latest ASIO plugin for OBS-Studio and a BEHRINGER UM2 USB audio interface (https://www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=P0AVV). I mainly use OBS to live stream to YouTube. So far so good but, an issue arises trying to monitor the mixed output, let me explain.

If I add the OBS default input capture plugin in a scene, I can capture both UM2 inputs but are presented as a single mono microphone input (only one, not two mics...). After that, I can monitor the mixed output either by the PC video card audio chip (RX580 connected to a Sony audio home teather through HDMI), or by using the UM2 front plug, by enabling the "direct monitor" switch in the front panel. If I switch to a scene that is only a video with audio, or a single image with an mp3 track, it works, I can monitor the mixing in every scene in OBS as I expected, including the scene with the default OBS default input capture plugin.

I expected to do the very same thing using the ASIO OBS capture plugin, so I set up the very same scenes using ASIO OBS plugin to capture the UM2 inputs. It presents the inputs as stereo, as I expected, but the real issue is that I complete lost monitor capabilities after that, I mean, I can only listen to the UM2 inputs, but switching scenes, I can't listen to the ones that are video with audio, or a single image with an mp3 track. if I press the record button in OBS, all mix is correct, I can listen to everything just as expected after stop recording and listening to the resultant video file, but I can't monitor the live mix.

How can I setup OBS, ASIO4ALL, OBS ASIO to get the things done well? I mean, I want to get stereo input and still be able to hear the OBS mix output.

Hope I explained all well, added some screenshots...

Thanks!

Thanks for the driver...

I'm quite a noob at this, so if you can elaborate more about loopback thing, I will really appreciate it!

OBS prevents you from monitoring the desktop audio device in order to prevent a loopback situation. Basically, if it is outputting the desktop audio for you to hear, that audio is going to.... desktop audio... which is then captured... and output.... back to desktop audio.

To work around this, you either need to monitor on a device separate from your standard desktop audio output, or monitor individual sources separately (which get output to desktop audio for capture in the mix).

Finally nailed it!

I've turned off internal PC audio chip in A4ALL

Then set internal audio chip as monitoring device in OBS and as default output in Windows...
