Question / Help Help with lag. New to OBS

Hi all,

Apologies if my questions are very obvious. I'm new to OBS and screen capture in general.

I'm trying to record in game footage of Eurotruck Simulator 2 for a documentary film i'm working on. However, the footage is pretty laggy when viewing in VLE/Media Player.

I don't know if this is an issue with my PC being under-powered, or the settings i'm using.

My PC specs are:

i5-4430 3.00ghz
8gb DDR3 1600mhz Ram
AMD R9 270

I'm trying to record at 1080p.

Output mode: Simple
Recording quality: Indistinguishable
Recording format: FLV or MKV (DO NOT USE MP4)
Recording encoder: Software low cpu use or hardware amd

Overall the quality of the recording seems a little better. Perhaps sharper than before. I think i'm just getting a very low frame rate...

If it makes any difference, not getting any lag in game while recording. Only on playback.

Logs are per launch of OBS.
