This is probably a lost cause but I'm desperate.
I recorded a 12 minute video. I always use output to .mkv, At the end of the recording I went to hit stop recording but it was already stopped which stopped my heart as this was a very important event I needed saved.
There was no visible crash or message, the file exists in the output folder, however it is very small (~800kb i believe). There is no log report for that session, no crash report. Attempting to convert it to another file type does not work. There is no thumbnail preview. It's like it created the file and just stopped and never recorded any audio or video.
I had just done a test recording right before which worked perfectly fine. I thought maybe in a haste, I accidentally double clicked the record button and it started and stopped so fast that it didn't capture anything so I tested that theory on a new recording but even that yielded a split second long video. I thought maybe I had run out of disk space (even though I have plenty of room) so I did a test recording after for a significantly longer amount of time which worked fine.
Log reports appear for the test recordings both before and after the main recording but none exist for the main recording.
Is there anyway I can try to salvage this video or am i screwed? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
