Okie dokie so I'm trying to record my ps2 with hauppauge rocket using obs. The only issue is that I can't get the audio to work, I go into the hauppauge program itself, and check the audio, and it is there. However, whenever I do test records, there is no audio, and I have checked it with Windows media and VLC but nothing. Lastly, I have hooked it up and played my 360 with the component cables so I'm not sure why it has a tendency of not picking up anything from my ps2 grrrr please help!

In addition, whenever I livestream on my Xbox One, and try to record at the same time it will not let me. I have updated every driver.

Thanks in advance.

Okie dokie so I've narrowed it down to a setting that I am completely missing in OBS...I have checked I get audio through my tv, and using the happauge capture program. However, whenever I go into OBS it completely mutes itself, and I'm not sure how to fix it...Anyone else have any ideas?

the same with my Rocket. In the CrossbarConfiguration is Audio linked to "-1:Audio Mute" (see attached picture1) and can not get changed. I got it run like this:.

1. If you wanna use HDMI, you need a HDMI-Splitter or/and a HDMI- (or Composite)- Converter. Connect the 5/3 cables to the Analog Inputs of the Rocket. or connect one HDMI-cable from the splitter to the HDMI-Input - the second to the converter. Then add a new Audio Input in OBS and config it as Line-Input. Micro is more difficult, because the level of a AV-Converter is normally too high and only Mono. But you can configure in Windows the Input to level 1-3. If you have no Stereo-Line-Input, and dont like Mono, you have to buy an USB-Soundcard with Line-Input.
The sound shoud be seen in OBS, when you start the video of your player, but when you record it, the sound will be 0,6 sec async, because of the transmissions. You can config in the OBS a delay of 600 ms and the sound will be sync.
2. If you use the Component-Input of the Rocket for Video+Audio, there will be no problem. See attached picture2 (I did not test it yet)
I hope that works for you.and all other Rocket users. With the Hauppauge PVR 2 this workaround is not necessary! Greetings from Berlin!
