This is my first time working with NDI/Windows and I need some help.
What I want to do: Use NDI Screen Capture HX on my Windows PC to stream video (games) and audio to my Mac, and into OBS.
I've installed the HX drivers on both PC and Mac. I've installed the NDI tools for both PC and Mac. When I launch NDI Screen Capture HX all seems fine on the PC. When I run the NewTek Video Monitor on my Mac I see the video, but do not get the audio. If I reverse this, and run NDI Screen Capture on my Mac, I can see the video and audio on my PC using NDI Studio Monitor. I've tested with two other computers in the house (a PC and a Mac) and none get the audio from my Windows PC, and they are all able to get audio from other computers using NDI.
It seems that my Windows PC does not want to send the audio with NDI Screen Capture HX or regular Screen Capture. I tested all this before I installed the NDI runtime and plugin for OBS.
Here is where it get's strange... If I install the NDI runtime and plugin for OBS on the Windows PC and the Mac, and open OBS on the PC, and send that NDI source to OBS on the Mac, I get the video and the audio from the PC. It works as it should, but I would prefer not to run OBS on the Windows PC and only run NDI Screen Capture HX. And... when I got this PC last week I didn't have speakers, so I used NDI Screen Capture HX to send the audio to mac and it worked then, but does not work now. I suspect I have something conflicting with the audio going to NDI Screen Capture HX, but the only things I've installed are games so I'm not sure where to start.
PC: Alienware R11, i7-10700KF, RTX 3080, 32 ram, up to date with Windows 10, etc.
Mac: iMac 2017 5K, i5, 40 ram, up to date with latest Big Sur
Any advice on how to troubleshoot this would be very helpful.

Questions:
- Do I need the HX drivers installed on the PC and Mac?
- Do I need anything more than NDI Screen Capture HX on the PC and NDI Runtime/NDI OBS plugin on the Mac?
- If I have an Elgato HD60S should I just use that? I thought NDI with HX would be faster/better but I really don't know.
- Should I scrap the dual PC set up and just stream from this PC with the 3080? I had some dropped frames in my tests but maybe that's better than all this?
