Help w/ obs audio/recording issue

Sorry if this has been asked before. I did a search and couldn't find a topic with my particular issue. I'm going to try to make this as simple as possible, and hopefully it still doesn't seem too complex.

I want to use OBS to record video of me playing guitar while I am recording said playing into Cakewalk, my DAW of choice.

I use a Focusrite ScarlettSolo USB interface to record into my DAW. I also have my PC speakers as the output so that my PC sound plays through it into the better speakers and also so that I can hear what I'm playing into my DAW with all fx on it as well of the rest of the mix.

I don't need any audio to come out of or be recorded directly into OBS whatsoever for this particular setup. Every time I open OBS however and click on my webcam to enable it, the program hijacks all the audio from my computer, leaving every other program mute and freezing anything that directly works with the interface, like Cakewalk.

I have tried to follow video tutorials and searched high and low for an answer, but I can't find anything that fits my particular issue. Hopefully someone here can help me solve this, as I'm sure there must be a solution since I've heard of and seen others do the same thing. Thank you in advance.

EDIT: Sorry, using Windows 10, the newest version of Cakewalk and OBS and I am not adverse to using, running, or installing new VSTs or any other patch app to fix this.
