Greetings All, I am somewhat new to OBS and am in the process of figuring out how to use it in order to stream live dj sets via Mixcloud. Thanks in advance for your patience, lol! Two initial questions:
1- I am noticing that from time to time, I will get a prompt from OBS that says: Failure to connect with server. I have looked into this online and some recommend to go into Advanced Settings > Bind to IP > and try different settings. I initially have mine on "Default," but none of the others end up working. The only thing that has helped is to Re-Install OBS time and time again. Obviously not ideal... any insight here?
I am not sure if this is relevant but i am working from a Macbook Air 2019, 1.6GHz dual core 8Gen. Intel Core i5 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.6Ghz, 8Gb 2133Mhz LPDDR3 memory and I am running Catalina. 10.15.5. I am hard wiring my computer to the internet with download speeds ranging from 2-500 Mbps and an upload speed of 20 mpbs.
(2) There is a CPU% meter on the bottom right of the program. What is the relevance of this metric for what I am trying to do, and what is the recommended range? If it is necessary to improve my particular readout while broadcasting, how should I go about doing so?
