Help! 'video 2 mac' transfer not working

I've purchased 'video 2 mac' transfer kit. I've been following the instructions to be able to record video to mac. On the instructions partner adding - On Sources - Choose video capture device - ok - Device = EM28284. Issue is I cannot select EM28284 as it will only let me select FaceTime HD camera. Where am I going wrong?? Any advice is much appreciated.
