hey guys. SO recently I have been recording with obs and it was fine. the fps was fine, the quality was fine. But suddenly, the recordings started coming out really choppy. it was laggy, but the quality was fine. Every single "best settings" or "fps boost settings" video i've tried has failed and I keep getting choppy recordings. Its really annoying because I was going to record with my friends but now I can't. Any way to fix this? Do I have to update my drivers or something? help!

Hello, the first thing you can try is make OBS starts as admin. I think you can do it easily if you have an OBS icon on your desktop. Just right-click on it and choose "Start as an administrator" or something like that. I'll probably work better. Please let us know :)-

Running OBS as Admin is ONLY appropriate (per OBS developers and comments in these forums) is IF you are trying to give OBS priority and are having contention (CPU, GPU, etc) issues

I'm not a gamer, but a quick scan of that logs seems to show trying with a variety of screen refresh and FPS settings, and severe encoder lag at times when you go for high FPS. Again, I'm not a gamer, but others have commented on matching screen refresh rate and FPS in OBS as a starting point, and/or making them easy multiples of each other (ex. screen refresh of 120 and OBS FPS of 60).. but not an area I pay attention to... so something for you to look into
