Question / Help Help setting up OBS Studio with Elgato Hd 60 s for streaming and recording.

Hi all,


I just recently bought my new Elgato Hd 60 S, I need help setting it up. The specs for my computer are as follows.


CPU Name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz
CPU Speed: 3600MHz
Physical Cores: 4, Logical Cores: 8
Physical Memory: 16334MB Total, 13412MB Free
Windows Version: 10.0 Build

Available Video Adapters:
Adapter 1: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
Dedicated VRAM: 3202531328
Shared VRAM: 4269271040

If anyone can help me set it up you guys are a life saver !

Looking at the log you have everything working what's your actual issue? If you want to know settings then you should use everything as default particularly the Output Tab set to Simple Mode with default settings for Streaming and try that to see how it works for you, there are tons of tutorials on YouTube which will help you tune your configuration.

well the problem is when I try to record on obs I get frame drops. I won't be recording and its using up a lot of the CPU. Also Just changed the Output.
 
Post a log that covers a recording please. Before you upload it make sure it contains the phrase Recording Stop as that will ensure it has the correct data.
