I'm trying to live stream yoga videos outside through Wix and using OBS as my encoder on my Macbook Air (2015) using a cat7 200ft outdoor ethernet cable.
I have a USB-C ethernet adapter (USB 2.0) and I have super fast internet speeds ( Download 222 mbps Upload 23 mbps)
I'm also trying to use my iphone 6s as a camera attached via USB to the lightening port. I have the OBS ios app on the phone and tried streaming the other night and everything dumped, the phone shut off, the live stream failed and all the apps to everything shut down. I lost an entire 60 minute class that had people on the other end trying to watch/practice with via live stream. I tried not to cry lol
My question: do I need some kind of special ethernet streaming adapter for the iphone so that I can connect it also directly through the ethernet cord OR is it possible to stream through the computer and somehow get the computer to read through the camera without the OBS ios app?
Do I need more gear to make this happen? Any recommendations?
