Help needed for lost audio track

Hello everybody.
First message here and although I use this really amazing software for a long time now I am having an issue.

I used OBS to record a video and accidentally I selected Monitor Only (mute output) on Audio Monitoring field.
As a result the created video is completely silent. :(

I know that OBS does not work with temporary files and I know this is a really long shot but is there anyway or anyplace to find some kind of audio file from the recording ???

Yeah, I think I already knew that, thanks for the reply.

Anyway, is there any specific reason for that choice? I don't get it.
I mean, why would anyone want to monitor the sound created from the application but mute out the export?

If you want to exclude a source temporarily, or if you want to feed some audio back into Windows, where you mix it and feed it back into OBS as a different source. Media sources for example, or web cam audio, are present only within OBS, and if you want to do something with it before you output it to the stream, you an set it to monitor only. Then capture the monitoring device, process its audio, and feed the result back as different audio source you output to the stream or recording.
