Hey everyone, I’ve been struggling with my camera quality during TikTok streams and was hoping someone here could help me figure out what’s going wrong. Here’s my setup:
I stream gameplay from my PS5 using a capture card into OBS.
For my facecam, I use an iPhone 16 Pro connected through the DroidCam app.
I’m on an HP laptop that supports QSV with H.264 encoding.
OBS settings:
Video bitrate: 6000 kbps
Output resolution: 1280x720
Framerate: 30 FPS
I use the Vertical Scene Plugin for TikTok streaming.
My internet speed is 100 Mbps.
The issue is that my camera looks super pixelated on TikTok, especially when I move like around my hair and headset wires. What’s confusing is that the exact same setup looks much better on Twitch but the pixels is thill there too. It just feels like TikTok adds a heavy layer of compression, or maybe something's wrong with my OBS config? I’ve attached a sample so you can see what I mean or can check my tiktok https://www.tiktok.com/@partypixiesgames you can see all my cam is so pixelated :'(
I just want to fix the pixelation and get my cam looking clean and smooth. Any help, settings advice, or suggestions would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance
