New to streaming, urgently need some advice to troubleshoot my stream.
I'm streaming from a 2014 macbook pro Catalina 10.15.4.
2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
I am mostly switching between 3 cameras with no overlay:
1-the computer's webcam.
2-One DSLR through USB to canon's new webcam utility through camtwist (to get it to show up)
3-Second DSLR through USB to Camera Live> siphon
It's a visually intense stream, here's the recording from last night that matches to the log file I've included.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/657961341?t=00h31m59s
you can see around 30 minutes in starts getting really gets pixelated intermittenly . and even more after an hour or so
While streaming the CPU usage is really low (no higher than 20%, usually closer to 8%-10%)
internet speed test is below
While streaming, the bitrate will sometimes drop intermittently, causing severe pixelation. especially after 30 mins and then even more after 1 hour. I recorded a stream locally with settings "recording quality same as stream" and the exact same pixelation occurs there.
Is this because of the Internet?
Is it because my settings aren't optimized?
Or is it because my graphics card can't handle the encoding?
Here are some screenshots of my settings:
What do I do?
should I uncheck Network>dynamically change bitrate to manage congestion (beta)?
Borrow a newer computer?
Any advice you have would be much appreciated!
