Headless options...

Hi,

There are a couple of threads about headless operation, and I know I could probably get OBS to do what I want (since it's pretty simple), but I'd like to work out if there is a better way to do things...

Currently as a church we use OBS on an M2 Mac Mini, picking up the program output of an Atem video mixer over the USB webcam interface for both audio and video. OBS has been predominantly remote controlled via a stream deck.
This is then live streamed to youtube and recorded to local disk as a backup.

I'd like to move this to a server in the tech rack, which would likely be headless (we don't really have the space for more displays on the AV desk).
- partly because there is some weird issue with video playback at the moment
- partly because we're juggling quite a few things on the remaining screen
- partly for consistency, we find that the Mac has issues with display selection etc because it thinks monitors go away during the week

Now - I could carry on with OBS, and have it restarted and remote controlled... but equally there might be a different piece of software which is better suited to the task at hand.

Ideas/suggestions welcome.

John
