HDMI to USB capture card suddenly stopped working

I unplugged my switch from my capture card like i've done before to play on my TV, but today after repluggin it back the exact same way i always did before, my capture card suddenly stopped working. I've tried everything from pc resets to unplugging and replugging everything connected to the capture card and switch and even messed around in the settings to try figure stuff out but nothing seems to work. My switch recognizes it's plugged into a capture card, as when i turn it on the dock's light turns green and doesnt start in handheld mode, and OBS seems to recognize it as well, cause "USB3.0 HD Video Capture" appears in the device section for video capture device properties. I haven't damaged the capture card either. I don't know what's causing this and it's really annoying me. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
