HDMI to USB Capture Card Not Appearing In OBS Video Capture Devices

I have my 3DS connected to my PC via an Idealforce HDMI to USB capture card and the other necessary cables to connect audio and video. The audio comes through to the PC loud and clear through a 3.5 mm jack, I have tested it using Audacity, that is taken care of. When I go into Sources to add the capture card to the scene in OBS, my only options are "USB Video" and "OBS Virtual Camera". The capture card is recognized by Windows, it shows up in the Device Manager. I have looked at many different forum posts online, including here, and the only advice I have seen is in regards to Elgato's line of devices and software. Understandably, Elgato's products are the best known and most reputable and so on, but the capture card I am using does not require any software or drivers to function, so I'm not sure what could be preventing OBS from recognizing the capture card.

This is the card I am using: https://www.amazon.com/Idealforce-C...=idealforce+usb+to+hdmi&qid=1607810394&sr=8-3

Try capturing something other than the 3ds. I don't know what hardware you're using to get an HDMI signal from it, but there is a very good chance that you're trying to pass an unsupported resolution to that capture device. Being as cheap as it is, it absolutely has no built-in scaling ability, so it can only handle direct resolution capture for its supported resolutions.
