Question / Help HDMI switcher

Hello ppl ,anyone know if i could use HDMI switcher directly to take from multiple sources and connect it to obs?
If no what i'm missing?!

You need a capture card/device to capture HDMI video, something like the Elgato HD60 S, or Elgato 4K60. A switcher just lets you pick which of the cables coming into it is routed to the output port on the switcher, so you don't have to unplug and replug cables all the time. It doesn't capture anything.
