Hdmi capture device color bar

I'm recording a camera and a PowerPoint on obs. The power point is connected from a computer to the laptop (where obs is) by an hdmi cable and I use a hdmi capture card to then plug it into the laptop. Every few minutes the video feed will cut out to a color bar, but than a second later return to normal. I dont know how to fix this issue, pls help.
