Question / Help HD PVR 2 OBS Dropped Frames!

I've been dropping frames like crazy as of the recent 11.1 patch, Haven't had the these problems in the past! Also, Everytime I click "Stop Streaming" It crashes OBS. And It causes my stream to fall behind Rapidly, (My Stream was three minutes behind!) Also Why is the HD PVR 2 set to 720x480? How do I change this, considering that when you select custom rather than device default it doesn't show any video?

Grab https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/releases/tag/0.11.2 and see if you have the same problem.

Selecting "Custom" for the Resolution/FPS Type dropdown means you then type in the resolution the card should use. If it won't output video with the custom settings you enter the hardware may not support them (e.g. entering an unsupported resolution, FPS, video format, etc.).

Okay tested what You said about custom, it only works on 720x480 resolution. Which is VERy strange. Haven't tested for the dropped frames. I also pasted pictures of the resolution problem.

In your screenshot you configured the HDPVR2 to output at 1920x1080 and 59.94 FPS, which is not a supported output combination. Is your Xbox actually configured to output at 1080p, or a different resolution? What if you set the output to run at 30 FPS instead?

If OBS is actually reporting dropped frames refer to https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/dropped-frames-disconnecting-lag-read-this-first.8870/ - picking a better ingest server than the default load balancer would be a good start.

OMG I friggin love you man! I just remembered today I switched from The dallas server to Francisco!!!! That should be the problem. And I tried 30 fps at 1080p It didnt work

I downloaded them twice now, I got nothing. Any resolution I Type other than 720x480 doesn't work. And the XBOX resolution is 1080p. This problem is weird.

i'm using it at default, it just automatically shows it at the resolution that is inputted

In my PVR2, I have everything set to "source" on the setup of the device itself (meaning, the PVR2's settings), and I have my overall video at 1980x1080p 60fps, scaled down to 720p (16 samples, not 32). I then stream that as is, with no downscaling. I get little overhead on my CPU, and a smooth stream every time.
