Hi,
I'm having problems with my Hauppauge and OBS MP, whenever i stream consoles using the capture box the sound bugs out and either stutters/crackles or completely cuts out, its really puzzling at the best of times as nights it can be perfect, others its constant. (OBS MP still shows the green bar peaking for sound input)

The only way i've found to do a quick fix is to go into the properties deactivate it in stream, reactivate it, go back into it's open the crossbar, audio settings and unmute the box, then i'll get anywhere from 5 to 45 mins before it repeats

The Log files seem to give absolutely little cause for concern, no major errors etc, which is really really weird, now i know the file itself says "error decoding audio" (19:08:48: Error decoding audio) however after doing the above steps it seemed to run fine (Stream started at 8pm, the error occured at 7pm and i fixed it through my hauppauge)

However theres not one sound issue through Hauppauge's own capture software setup

Anyone else have this problem?
Cheers
Rich

At the moment I'm using a Logitech C920, I have also used an Xbox Live Vision cam (Xbox 360 version) and a Trust Elight FullHD 1080p (17676) camera, all of them were running at the default setups and the the built in microphone is disabled as i use my own podcast microphone

OBS itself now runs at 1080p scaled down to 720p at 30fps on a bitrate of 2700 (i have ran it up to 3200 at times too) and the only problems that i've ever encountered are the hauppauges sound issues

This is last nights log file, i ran 2 streams, an hour of Happy Wheels through the PC itself to use the desktop audio (18-50-33), and around 1 hour 45 mins of Mario Kart 8 on Wii U using the Hauppauge (20-03-10)

Both of which seemingly ran perfect, no issues whatsoever

Try reducing the resolution of the cameras (especially the c920) to 720p or lower and see if that helps.

Apologies for the late reply
I tried what was said and to no avail, however i did find that by changing the internal audio encoders throughout the actual hauppauge capture centre to all LAV encoders I have had no problems at all during my live streams now
