So i am not sure what the hell i did... But my current pc that i have been streaming on for the past 3 years is randomly dropping frames every single stream now. 2 months ago i NEVER dropped frames. Now i cant figure out what the hell is wrong with my network/setup. If anyone can help me figure this out it would be greatly appreciated. I have streamed for about 8 years consistently so i know the basics. But for some reason i cant solve these random drops. They seem to be at random times. Im sure its nothing to do with obs and more something on my network side but i am just so clueless how to solve it. PLS HELP. If you need more info just let me know! Also my upload speeds are 30mbps and i usually set my upload around 4.5-6K bitrate. Prior to about two months ago i had no issues.

If you are sure it isn't OBS, then you need to monitor your PC and the network (in real-time). It is unlikely to be truly random, but instead simply something you aren't watching. For example, have you removed EVERY other device from your LAN to make sure it isn't doing anything?
Are you monitoring your own PCs network traffic to see if there is unexpected traffic? Performance tab of Task Mgr is a good place to start
Have you disabled unnecessary background processes (like cloud drive sync, ex OneDrive/Google Drive?) etc
And it could be CPU or other hardware constraint on your PC that is bottlenecking, as lots of OS and driver/app updates happen over time.

So i have done most of that stuff and luckily i have another pc to actually test things on. My other pc gets 0 dropped frames while streaming. Which is why i think its this pc. Now i did download a funky plugin a while back on obs but i highly doubt its that causing the issue... When i stream I start my stream i just have obs and maybe one windows of chrome open. I guess the pc could be bottlenecking but wouldnt it tell you that in the log? Cause the log says i dropped 22 frames cause of cpu issues. and 11,000 from bandwith. Here is the log from my other pc if it helps https://obsproject.com/logs/N1ijGibv8j0uuQTV and here we streamed for an hour last night no issues at all... Then i hop on my other pc and INSTA dropped frames within 20 mins.. I was hoping something in the log could help me figure out what i changed

DROPPING frames is typically a purely connection based issue, not a bottleneck. There are a number of things that could be causing your internet to drop out, including drivers for the ethernet/wifi adapter. I had an issue where it was perfect for years then it would drop out constantly until the internet company repaired an amplifier down the road. It could be as simple as something else in the house using the upload. Check to make sure all your connections and cables are solid from machine to router to wall and go from there.

I went crazy for about a week - finally saw that I could change stream type to Youtube Legacy - seems to have fixed the issue.

could a funky plug-in cause issues - of course.. depends on what it is, and what it is doing. And any other OS difference
I did not compare OBS log between the two systems.
And no, OBS logs will NOT show OS details to troubleshoot a PC problem. OBS logs show OBS settings and operation... that's all, essentially.
And sorry, I'm not the person to compare the two logs to identify a meaningful difference
But there are a number of recent threads on RTX noise suppression causing CPU issues

As I mentioned, what are you doing for real time resource utilization monitoring? if you aren't (or only OBS's stats screen), you are effectively driving blind.
Oh, and a bad cable, or router connection port could be an issue. but really, monitoring will help pinpoint where to start looking.
But if you plug old PC into Ethernet cable and it works fine, new PC into same cable doesn't.... then you know its very likely the PC. Now, does that mean OBS or the OS ? ...no way to know from OBS logs or this thread so far.

Where is that at? i seriously think its on the isp because i was able to recreate the issue on every pc in the house we have 5...
