So i decided to take the leap from original obs to multiplatform to try to get away from the windowed mode streaming i had to do to get the device to work with obs(hauppauge hd pvr 2 gaming edition). Now the problem i have is in multiplatform every thing else my overlay, facecam both work but im getting an insane amount of bleeding and dropped frames during high movement times of gameplay in preview all the way through from the capture card. Tried as many tweaks as i could figure out to get it to try to work. Im wondering if anyone has any experience for this capture device and has a area to work with. I changed all the settings in hauppauge capture and tried different encoders etc to no avail. im truly stumped at this point cause i feel ive made every minor setting i could change in hope to isolate the problem. Not sure what information anyone may need me to post but i can post whatever. log is attached any help is appreciated. Thanks - Kloc

First thing is first. Are your HD PVR 2 drivers up-to-date? Sometimes that can be over looked. I haven't had any issues yet with the HD PVR 2 and OBS MP.

yes i went with the latest driver since im using windows 10 it required me to disable auto driver download, and the driver signature authentication. But essentially windows 10 had the same driver as the "latest" driver for hauppauge. How exactly are you using the HD PVR 2? are you using in windowed capture or as a direct capture card? i dont have issues with window capture but i do have issues when trying to use it as a capture device. Want to make sure that is clarified

*update* i just redid everything from a fresh reinstall and am gonna see if there is any difference. since it was the upgrade to win10 and just started a fresh media install when i woke up this morning. Gonna see if that makes a difference with my issue.

I don't have a solution for you, but I would personally highly recommend you look into buying a different capture device. The proprietary nature of the HD PVR/HD PVR2 makes them less than ideal for use in OBS (even though they work now)
But yeah, you would be doing yourself a favour if you sold the PVR and bought something like an Avermedia LGX
