I admit this is a very niche request. I was thrilled with the update to OBS 28, and how it sought to bring HDR recording and streaming to OBS. I use an Intel Mac with an eGPU (Vega 56) and though the tonemapping is not perfect, I have had great results with Apple Hardware VT encoder for both streams and recording, however the latest version of OBS 28.1.2 does not support Hardware encoding HDR on Macs, so I still use 28.0.0-beta1 because it DOES allow me to unofficially encode HDR using the VT hardware encoder (software encoding isn't fast enough on my older machine). This older build has some unrelated bugs, but I am willing to accept the tradeoff to record HDR content with the compatible hardware I use (PS5, OLED C1, Elgato HD60 X). However there doesn't seem to be any plans to reimplement this in newer builds. Are there certain lines of source code that I should look at from this beta1 version that I may be able to compile with the newer builds in order to implement this old unofficial functionality with the newer bug fixes?
