Gaming PC specs:
i5 4570
GTX 980ti hybrid
16gb corsair vengeance
750w XFX pro
Current streaming rig Specs:
i5 4570 --> FX 8350
No GPU --> R9 280x
8GB DDr3 Samsung memory --> +8GB DDr3 memory
400w PSU --> 600w PSU gold certified.
Elgato HD60 PRO
Plan:
Rebuild my streaming rig with a Spare FX 8350 i have, add an extra 8GB of memory and also add a spare R9 280x i have not being used. Currently the FX8350 is in my Wifes gaming PC (she only plays Black Desert Online) and I feel she would actually get a performance increase from the i5, and I would probably gain more encoding horsepower with the 8 core 8350?
I am only looking to stream in 720p 60fps @ 4500 (which i already achieve with the i5 rig but it's maxed out on very fast)
I'd like to be able to either increase the encoder to medium, or just have more headroom on very fast so that I an run heavier overlays such as Bitcups and other StreamElements features.
I actually feel this should be enitely possible with 4 extra cores encoding (nothing else will be running but OBS) this CPU should be pretty beefy for this job. I'm just looking for some confirmation.
Do not recommend i buy different hardware, i'm looking for a Yes this is possible, or NO it is not. (regarding Medium preset, or better very fast performance)
I'm just trying to take advantage of stuff i have, I'm not looking to buy new gear right now.
Thank you for your help.
