So I have been streaming overwatch on medium to low setting (for max frame rate) no problem for months. I started streaming Assassins's Creed Syndicate and now it has all gone to hell. The stream stops and stutters with game play (not webcam) and will often freeze for minutes at a time. I tried updating from classic to studio without help. I dropped my bitrate(3500 ->2500, my framerate (60->30fps) and I am at my wits end. I tried the auto log analyzier by it just errored out, maybe it doesn't work with studio? I don't know.

My specs are
  • CPU: Intel i5-4460 3.2GHz
  • Motherboard: ASRock H97M PRO4 LGA1150
  • Memory: Ballistix Sport (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
  • Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SSD
  • Storage: WD Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
  • Video Card: MSI GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V
  • Monitor: Acer H236HLbid 60Hz 23.0"

Either way, any help you can provide is appreciated. Thank you. I uploaded the log so I think that's covered :)

Edit: I wasn't sure if it was just a Ubisoft thing so I lowered graphics from high to medium without any change.

Updating from last night. I tried streaming a couple other games (Borderlands 2 & Mad Max) and while I only tried each for a couple minutes, each seems to stream very smooth. Could AC:Syndicate be overly taxing on the CPU due to crowds or something and so is dragging it way down?

Edit: I ran a CPU stress test and temp monitor then streamed and things seem better? I didn't change any settings on OBS or AC:Syndicate so I don't understand why after several days of issues it is magically better. From 60% frame drops to 9%. Still not ideal but much better. I'll upload the newest log so maybe someone can see if something is different.

Looks like Assassins Creed is using alot of your cpu.
21:46:49.743: Output 'simple_stream': Number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 2595 (27.0%)
21:46:49.743: Output 'simple_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 2229 (23.2%)

For assassins creed you may want to try nvenc at 3500 bitrate, It would relieve the stress on the cpu
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Borderlands 2- ok on cpu
10:27:45.312: Output 'simple_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 22 (0.2%)

Madmax.exe-ok on cpu
10:31:52.548: Output 'simple_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 40 (1.6%)
10:31:52.548: Output 'simple_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 66 (2.7%)

I was going to use nvenc, but I had read somewhere that it was not good for streaming. Was I mistaken thinking that and should actually use nvenc?

Either way thanks for taking a look :)
