So I am trying to figure out what is going on. I just installed a new monitor ASUS VG278 in my already OC'd i7 9700K @ 4.9GHz and my GTX 1070 ACX 3.0 with a 300MHz oc to memory and 70MHz oc to GPU. It's been a stable clock for a while even on intense benchmark tools. All of the sudden after latest update and changing the monitor when I leave my OBS open to project to my Elgato Card (in order to avoid the FPS limit as it's not a 4K HDMI capture card) and when OBS is open GTA V simply freezes.
I can unfreeze it by closing OBS. Temporarily it would go longer without freezing by editing my graphics settings ingame but this no longer works for some reason. Any ideas or place where I could try to find out what is going on? It's pretty strange. Can't find anything on google. I have disabled Elgato card, second monitor, it's just basically with OBS open. I also tried latest 25.x version and didn't work. Still freezes. It does not crash.
