Question / Help Greyed out options in Output tab

I have just downloaded OBS Studio For Mac and in trying to record my screen and webcam I find that under Settings, Output the Output Mode, Recording Quality, Recording Format and Encoder selections are greyed out (i.e. unavailable). What do I need to do to ensure that these selections become available?

Some settings can't be changed while an output is active-- meaning, during streaming or recording, or if an NDI output is on.

If you post a log I might be able to guess which one is causing your issue.

Also some settings can't be changed in Simple output mode, and you need to change to Advanced mode to change them.
