Grey screen on preview no issues on VLC

Any OBS experts willing to give some advice?

Issues I'm having is with a wildlife camera (Green Feathers IP ) which does not want to play along with OBS.
Total of 2 IP cameras of which the later model connects fine via VLC but on OBS preview fluctuates between grey and an almost paused feed. I've changed numerous settings but nothing seems to correct the issue. Tried various RTSP commands but still the same issue.

The older version camera preview is perfectly fine and happily runs all day.

Any help greatly appreciated

Hello,
Did you ever find a solution to your issue?
I have the same issue, and the only work around was adjusting the channel and stream numbers to
*user=admin&password=&channel=1&stream=1*
i think the stream number defines the definition quality of it, ie, 0 is HD and 1 is SD
but sadly i am still yet to find a way for it to work with stream 0
