Greetings from another newbie

I recently downloaded OBS Studio, and am totally mystified and confused. That's normal for me. Many years ago, I was fortunate to have a complimentary copy of Wirecast. I used Wirecast to put on many live shows. My last show was around a decade ago. I never bought the newer versions of Wirecast. Now I hope to learn OBS Studio. I mention previous usage of Wirecast because that might give potential helpers an easy way to help me learn OBS.

My initial goal is to make YouTube videos, mainly Vlogs. Once I'm more familiar with OBS, I want to do Skype interviews with OBS, and upload them to YouTube later. I appreciate any insights you care to share. I'll gladly look at tutorials, etc.

Use the Auto-Config Wizard from the Tools menu. Do a 30 second test to generate a log, use the log analyzer and it will point out most common issues.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...
