Hi there,
I bought one of those cheap, generic video capture devices from Amazon to rip VHS tapes on my mac. Reviewers said they got it to work on their macs, despite that the device is unsupported for mac. I can't find any drivers for it on the web. In OBS, I can get the sound to work, but the picture comes through all flickery. Every few frames, it flickers green and magenta and offset from where it's supposed to be.
I've included two screen shots that show the frames that flicker.
I have tried different cassette tapes, or no tape (just the VCR's blue screen), and they all flicker in the same way. I have tried different video input settings in OBS, but none remove the flicker entirely. The VCR works on a regular TV, so the problem may be with my video capture device. I'm hoping I can find a workaround in OBS or elsewhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
