Question / Help Gray line artifacts during screen capture

I tried recording some Renoise footage and I was met with many gray lines and a few green screen frames on my end result. Had no issues with frame rate, none that I can notice at least (recorded at my monitor's native resolution of 1680x1050 at 30fps).

I have a FX6300 processor, with 4GB of Ram, a GT 1030 2gb GDDR5 on Elementary OS 0.4.1.
I was thinking of putting a log in here but I was not sure if I should record and then get the log, or just try using the "last log".

I think this happens with the NVIDIA binary driver by default. If I remember correctly it helped to select "Force Composition Pipeline" or "Force Full Composition Pipeline" in "nvidia-settings". (XServer Display Configuration -> Advanced)
