Graphics Card / RAM / General Processing issues

Hello guys!

I've been streaming some concerts with a friend. On the sound front, we're grand, and are just taking a stereo-out from the house console and it sounds beautiful.

Cameras-wise though, we've just been using epoccam with an iPhone in a single, front position and it's a little boring and feels inappropriately unambitious compared to the rest of the setup.

I recently acquired a Blackmagic ATEM Mini stream mixer, so great, four angles, right! Trouble is, when I'm running cameras through that, the CPU load goes up A LOT, and I experience audio sync issues that, even with sync offset settings in place to fix them, are way to large and unpredictable to work with.

We're using a MacBook Pro with 8gb of RAM and a Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB graphics card.

Without piling in and computer-shaming me too much, is it the graphics card that's likeliest the biggest culprit here and, if so, is there a relatively affordable external card anyone could recommend that might sort us out?

Thanks!

TLDR

I'm trying to use a Blackmagic ATEM Stream Mixer on a MacBook Pro and it can't hack it. Would a new graphics card fix matters?
