Greetings,
I actually posted this same question over on the Elgato Reddit a week or so ago, but never got a response. So I figured I would try here as well.
Been having a hard time getting rid of this audio desync that increases over the life of my stream. I'm using the Elgato HD 60 Pro PCI card. I've tried almost everything. Made sure that all of the audio rates matched to 48hz on both of my PCs (I have a dual-pc setup). But that shouldn't be an issue because it's not only when I stream using my PC setup, the same thing happens when streaming console games.
When the stream first starts, it's good with no issues whatsoever. But about an hour in (if I'm lucky), the audio desync reappears and only becomes worst over time. Take at this VOD and you will notice when I start that it's fine, but if you just skip around throughout the video you will see that the desync increases. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/128728757
I've tried using various settings in OBS studio, using both the simple output mode and advanced output mode, same result. Usually, I have my bitrate up to 3500 since I have the internet to handle it, and because I usually get transcoding options on Twitch. Encoding preset set to Faster, and of course using the x264 encoder.
Also, I use the output audio to desktop (wave out) option so that I can hear the audio from the console (or my gaming PC) via OBS.
Even though the stream I linked above is old, I have attached the log file from that particular stream to this post. The one thing I keep noticing is that this line keeps appearing "adding 21 milliseconds of audio buffering...", but I'm not 100% sure if that's directly related to my issue or if that's something that OBS just does anyway.
I should also note that I switched back to my Avermedia card, and there's no issue. So is something not talking right between the Elgato and OBS?
