Gradual Audio Delay Issue with Avermedia GC575

So, friend of mine streaming via a two-pc- setup with the encoding one using an Avermedia GC575 (4k 2.1) Capture Card as the mediator.
For the past 2 months he's got an issue with an gradual audio delay encroaching on his streams. This only happens on modern/more hardware intensive games (in this case the new COD and God of War Ragnarok)

From what i've found online and on this forum was that capture cards are sometimes overloaded and struggle with the timely transfer of the data, right?
There are also cases where the Driver might be an issue.

has anyone with an avermedia capture card in the past few months had similar issues and maybe found a fix?

Kind regards

totally forget about checking that so far.
To this point we've updated the firmware for the avermedia gc575 and found that said capture card outputs sound at 41 khz opposed to the 48khz of obs.
Might that be a possible reason?

You will want everything running at 48khz as OBS is. My suggestion would be to make sure the avermedia device is set that way in the windows sound settings, then mute the "PC Game Capture" source entirely and add a new audio input capture device and select the audio there to use instead.
