GPU Being Maxed Out on MacBook M1 Air

I have a MacBook M1 Air (16GB RAM) and have encountered issues with stinger transitions freezing (lagging). One measure I've taken is having a LAN cable directly connected to the router instead of using adapters/powerlines.

This has prevented my streams from crashing which became a real issue in the last month despite the fact that I always use a wired connection. However, there is the odd occasion where the stinger transitions continue to lag - even though they are WEBM files and there is a direct connection with the router.

My internet speed is usually 70mbps download and 15 mbps upload. I stream at 1080p 30fps using the Apple VT H264 Hardware Encoder with 6000 bitrate.

Even when I use a lower bitrate such as 4500, and there are no issues with the internet according to the OBS analyser, I get the message of 0.1% Rendering Lag due to the GPU being maxed out.

Is this because OBS is not native with the M1 chip or could there be another reason? I'm aware that OBS 28 will be officially released soon and that should significantly improve the performance on M1 and M2 laptops.
