I have been stressing out over the last 3 weeks now trying to resolve a crackling issue with audio when using the ASIO OBS plugin. My system is optimized and running as close to perfect as possible for streaming. I have spent so much time making sure everything is right, buying new equipment etc.
Computer:
Intel 17-13700k - Geforce RTX 3070 Ti
32 gig ram
Screen res: 3840x2160, 60hz
Focusrite Scarlett 4i4
Roland VT-4
Ableton Live (with Push 2)
Logitech Brio 4k
Podmic
OBS 30.2.2
I have a simple scene setup with an Ableton Live screen, mic that is using the ASIO OBS and an audio asio source that is capturing the audio from Ableton.
If I record my session and playback, there are pops and crackles. However, if I turn off OBS and play the same video it doesn't have that issue.
Something else I noticed, if I turn down the volume for Ableton ASIO audio, it also turns down the volume for the mic. The mic is running through the VT-4 so why would the ASIO option for Ableton affect it? Its set as: Device: VT-4, Format: Mono, OBS Channel 1: Mix
