Is there a good capture card and video passthrough setup for recording the BIOS and things like that? I'm looking for something dirt cheap, and I don't really care about build quality, so long as it works... not exactly sure what the capture computer would be, but probably my cheap HP laptop. Also note, that I'm not the type to know a good or bad deal on something like that, and note too, that I really don't need anything larger than 720p or 1080p... I've seen people talk about 60fps recording, but honestly, all I encode to is 30fps, so do I really need one that can do 60??? I want support for both HDMI camera and passthrough connections, although I shouldn't need that, for both at once, at least not usually...

There are a few cheap USB 2.0 1080p30 capture devices out there for about $20 on eBay and Aliexpress. I have one and it works okay. No-name brand, pure chineseum knockoff. Embarrassingly enough, Atomos is rebranding these as 'Atomos Connect' and selling them for a few hundred bucks.
