Ok to start i have an xbox one s, and the elgato hd60. My upload speed goes to a minimum 9mbps and I stream to twitch from my laptop which is getting good quality and I know what I need to do to fix it but where I am at now it the maximum my CPU can handle before the warning thing shows up. I'm looking at another laptop and was wondering about how of a difference in cpu to expect.
Current Computer:
Intel Core i5-4210u CPU @1.70Ghz
8GB Ram
64-bit operating system (which i believe is bs cause i need to use obs studio 32 bit)
Possible new computer
6th gen intel core i7-6700HQ CPU @2.6Ghz
12GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M Graphics Card
pretty sure 64 bit operating system
Laptop will be hardwired via ethernet cable and only have obs, and possibly itunes for background music. I'm looking to stream at 720p@30fps I heard to keep my elgato game capture to the default 1080p@60fps and just change the output. Not too concerned about setting up obs due to I'm not 100% sure if I am getting this yet. Just want an idea if I would see a big difference is CPU
