I have noticed that whatever I set the recording levels in OBS as - I still have to go into Control Panel > Sound > Recording > Mic Properties, and set the recoding level to 70 (in my case), in order that I override the default 100 which would cause clipping/peaking.
What I am saying is that there should be a slider somewhere in OBS to be able to adjust this global Windows recording level quickly and easily and have it stay set at all times - rather than having to keep remembering to set this level each time you start a recording session - which is no good after you've done your first recording of the day and forgotten to set it, thus having a ruined video clip.
The best result is if a dev is looking at this.
