Bug Report Glitches (or black) Video when Streaming?

Hello all,

I've been wrestling with a peculiar problem for the past month - whenever I attempt to stream to either my Picarto or Twitch channels, viewers will only see a glitched video (or sometimes, no vide at all - audio always works):

Preview in OBS itself looks fine.

Here's a log of my most recent attempt:

I've done everything I can think of from checking my connection / bandwidth (but have not called my ISP yet), and re-installing previous versions, all the way to re-installing OS X in case something was corrupted that I didn't know of. I'm pretty much at a loss.

Prior to the beginning of this month, OBS ran fine for me on this machine in the same environment, no major complaints or issues. Literally the only two things I can think of that changed are an OS X update that released in late December if I recall correctly, and I installed the "duet" app on my laptop back in late December to use my iPad as a second screen, to test it out.

At this point, after trying all sorts of bitrate changes, resolution changes, and other settings while having a friend confirm the results on his end, I'm at a loss.

Thank you for any help in advance, and let me know if I've missed any needed information, or if I'm overlooking a really silly solution. I'm pretty good at that sometimes, heh.

Been testing things out and also tried the latest update, still no change for me. =(

Is there something I'm missing?

At wit's end. Re-installed El Capitan clean, STILL having the same problem.

FMLE, streaming to the same place, works (though it's FMLE so... bleh).

I have done everything I can think of and it flat-out isn't working for me. =(

No worries! :-)

I actually ended up clean installing Yosemite instead of El Capitan, and it now works! I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but it might be a combination of one of the recent updates to El Capitan and my laptop model/hardware... not certain. When I initially updated to El Capitan late last year, it worked fine, then after I returned from vacation in January this all started occurring. The only thing I can think of that changed is that I usually update whenever one is released...

Bumping for any helpful advice. In the meantime I'll see if the latest version helps (if I don't already have it).

I've been having the same issue...

I have el capitan
Running a Mac Pro 4,1 (2009)

I'm using the newest OBS and have been trying to stream to Picarto... I'm not sure if this is a common issue but my screen looks exactly the same as the image ninroks first post... kill 2 birds with one stone? (I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the GPU)
