Getting the same crisp recording quality on a stream

Hi guys. hope someone can help me. I can record awesome sim racing videos. They look crisp with no blockiness and are smooth and pretty and HD 1080p 60fps. The stream on youtube looks garbage.

I've experimented with a range of bitrates. Is it just impossible to sent a good gaming image to youtube live? I have 50meg upload and a top end PC. Any suggestions welcomed. Happy to look elsewhere away from youtube also .
 
You can try Twitch. From what I understand, unless you get a bunch of viewers, your stream will be presented as-is (as long as it's 6000 Kbps or below).

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...
