Question / Help Getting stutter while streaming CS:GO - help! :(

Dear all,

I've been trying to stream CS:GO lately, but I've encountered an issue that prevent me from playing at my best in leagues and higher competitive level while streaming. Whenever I start the stream, it seems that some kind of input lag or stutter is present, the fluidity of my mouse movement isn't there anymore.. and I can't play properly.

My specs:

i7-4770k 3.5GHz
GTX 1080
32GB DDR3 @1600MHz
Edit:
I have 2 monitors, #1 is 144hz, #2 is 60hz, and I'm using them both on the GPU. I've read that plugging the 60hz monitor on the Intel GPU can help. Will try that.

My OBS settings:

3000 bit rate
720p@60fps
x264 veryfast main / nvenc high quality
can't remember the audio settings (not at home atm) (I heard it could cause issues?)

What I've tried:

- switching between x264 and nvenc:
- x264: movement is stuttery, laggy, dunno how to call it
- nvenc: movement is slightly better, but still unplayable for me.
- limiting CS:GO to 6 cores and OBS to 2
- no change

Do you have any suggestions? Besides providing a log, which I will a bit later today, when I get home, what other info would be useful to fix this?

Thank you!

Yeah I can't really help without a log. The thing is when you are streaming the CPU is being used quite heavily. Even a slightly lower framerate can make a big difference (especially in csgo). Some other people also have experienced issues with two monitors that have different refresh rates.

Thanks C-Dude, I'm wondering if there's anyone else that has encountered this issue. It's really driving me crazy.

Yeah i remember someone else created a thread not too long ago with the exact same problem. I couldn't find it though.
